NORTH LINTHICUM MOSQUITO CONTROL PROGRAM UPDATE
6.4.2026
NLIA received confirmation from the Mosquito Control Section of the Maryland Department of Agriculture last night that fogging operations will not begin this week.
Due to ongoing staffing and recruitment challenges, the Maryland Department of Agriculture is not beginning fogging operations in any community within Anne Arundel County this week.
The Department also advised that, because they are unable to service every community on a weekly basis, they will initially focus on communities whose route maps require little or no updating. As additional maps are updated and incorporated into service routes, communities will be prioritized each week based on the number of previous visits, with preference given to those that have been visited the fewest times.
If you have any questions regarding the Mosquito Control Program, please contact the Maryland Department of Agriculture's Mosquito Control Section at (410) 841-5870.
The mission of North Linthicum Improvement Association (NLIA) is to promote a community where neighbors help neighbors and encourage community involvement for the betterment of all those who live here. We host multiple events throughout the year to bring neighbors together, see old friends, make new friends, and to grow our social circles. Our work involves collaborating with other community organizations and to advocate for our residents. We partner with local businesses and are a liaison to our County and State's various departments.
